When Adults are Ill
This is an answer to a question that was asked by one of the Street Communities:
If all the adults in a household get very sick or are hospitalised, and there are children to care for, who do we contact?
Contact 111, as this is first a health and infectious disease issue. They will advise what the adults need to do, and how to reduce the risk of viral transmission to children.
If the adults have no one to help care for the children, contact the Wandsworth Council’s Hub helpline at 0208 871 6555 or email communications@wandcareall.org.uk.
If the adults are unable to call or organise support, the NHS frontline staff have procedures in place to contact social services.
